The Process Model Canvas is a plug-in model and complementary to the Business Model Canvas (BMC). While this model will help you to discover and define your future challenge, the Process Model Canvas (PMC) will help you to make it happen in the organization.

Phase 1 Design your Key Activities (KA)

  1. Print the PMC on at least an A3 paper.
  2. In the BMC you defined your Key Activities (KA). Take one of them and place this KA in the PMC as the Process chain name.
  3. Start to discuss with the team about ‘The Wow’ effect for the customer. With what information, will the customer have this feeling. What make the difference? Use ‘sticky-notes’ and place them on the PMC paper.
  4. Define the (sub) process names.
  5. Specify the information flow. From ‘message delivered’ to ‘message received’ (from the end to the beginning)
  6. Identify Risks

Phase 2 Evolve Process Model

  1. Define the Business Process Owner of the KA
  2. Enrich model with Considerations
  3. The PMC, is the starting point to design the process, in line with the needs.
